About the Role
We're seeking a highly skilled Cloud Security Engineer to join our team and help shape the future of sports and wellness. As a key member of our security team, you'll be responsible for ensuring the security and integrity of our cloud infrastructure, protecting millions of sports enthusiasts across Europe, and collaborating with our development and operations teams to implement effective security measures.
Key Responsibilities
- Cloud Architecture Review: Conduct thorough reviews of cloud architecture designs, identify potential security risks, and provide recommendations to ensure our infrastructure and applications are hardened against abuse and nefarious activity.
- Cloud Security Strategy: Collaborate closely with our SRE team to implement effective security measures that support their objective of delivering scalable on-demand infrastructure, prioritizing security impact while adhering to DevSecOps principles.
- Security Assessments: Conduct regular security assessments and audits of cloud environments to identify vulnerabilities, misconfigurations, and potential risks, including penetration testing, vulnerability scanning, and security code reviews.
- Security Collaboration: Mentor and collaborate with development and operations teams regarding cloud security best practices, secure coding techniques, and data protection measures, with the goal of upskilling our organization.
- Security Controls: Implement security controls to prevent misconfigurations of cloud resources and enhance security observability by enforcing best practices for cloud infrastructure.
What You'll Need
- Deep Understanding of Modern Security Landscape: You'll need a deep understanding of the modern security landscape, including cloud security, DevSecOps, and container security.
- Extensive Experience in Implementing Security Frameworks: You'll need extensive experience in implementing security frameworks and compliance practices in a cloud-native environment, with a strong focus on GCP.
- Strong Software Engineering Skills: You'll need strong software engineering skills, including experience with secure coding practices and familiarity with common programming languages such as Python or Go.
- Expertise in Container Security: You'll need expertise in container security, CI/CD pipelines, and other DevSecOps practices.
