The Claims Solution team at Dac Beachcroft LLP advises insurers and corporate clients in their defence of claims of all values, types and complexity. Our National team, comprising a mix of leading names in the insurance industry as well as household name corporates, deals with all aspects of defendant litigation, including complex and catastrophic injury.
In this exciting time to join our expanding team, you will be part of a new and rapidly growing department. Key Responsibilities- Effectively manage files to ensure deadlines are met and cases are handled proactively to conclusion.
- Assist more senior fee earners on more complex and higher value cases, and Partners on multi-million-pound claims.
- Evaluate work to meet client needs, commercial requirements of the firm, and quality standards, ensuring:
- Adherence to internal and client SLAs, KPIs and protocols.
- Agreement of financial targets.
- Prompt billing and collection of WIP and disbursements.
- Prompt and accurate provision of MI.
You will devise a clear case strategy adhered to, ensuring cases run smoothly, balancing commercial interests of both the Firm and the client. Apply appropriate technical expertise and current case law. Effectively manage risk and compliance issues within each case, escalating emerging problems to your Supervisor promptly. Engage with clients where possible, maximising opportunities to build rapport and act as an ambassador of the firm.
Requirements- Previous experience working or assisting on Cat PI claims.
- High level of personal compliance with firm protocols and procedures.
- Good legal knowledge relevant to the area of expertise.
- Ability to adopt a commercial perspective on legal issues.
- Team-oriented and collegiate attitude, willing to share knowledge and support other team members.
- Excellent relationship and client handling skills.
