Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Center Operations Specialist to join our Cloud Operations & Innovation team at Microsoft. As a Critical Environment Technician, you will play a critical role in maintaining the infrastructure that supports our cloud services.
Key Responsibilities- Operations Specialist: Serve as a subject matter expert in one major area of critical environment operations, working independently on advanced tasks and providing guidance to junior team members.
- Facility Equipment Inspection: Regularly inspect and supervise critical environment-related facility equipment, identifying and escalating unsafe or abnormal conditions in accordance with applicable policies and standards.
- Work Order Management: Utilize our internal computerized maintenance management system to track equipment assets and complete work order requests for maintenance work.
- Incident Response: Safely and quickly respond to and lead onsite incident response teams for all abnormal conditions that impact operations, coordinating with other critical facilities professionals to perform corrective repairs.
- Procedure Development: Enhance, develop new, or follow existing emergency operating procedures, methods of procedure, and standard operating procedures in relation to critical environment operations and incidents.
- Maintenance and Repair: Perform various types of maintenance and repairs following methods of procedure and standard operating procedures for one or more types of equipment, including electrical, mechanical, and cooling systems.
- Troubleshooting: Have a hands-on understanding of how equipment works and how to troubleshoot equipment, systems, subsystems, and components independently within their trained discipline.
- Consultation: Provide consultation to lower-level colleagues in troubleshooting systems and problems.
- Safety and Security: Understand, follow, and ensure safety and security requirements.
