Job Title: Controls Commissioning Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Controls Commissioning Engineer to join our team at Dematic. As a key member of our ASRS team, you will be responsible for commissioning automated material handling systems across the globe.

About the Role:
  • Commissioning automated material handling systems within the ASRS department
  • Develop a strong understanding of Dematic control systems
  • Produce electrical and software design amendments
  • Travel globally, up to 80% of the time, to customer sites abroad

Key Responsibilities:
  • Reading and interpreting electrical layout and schematic drawings using CAD tools
  • Assisting in factory testing of the PLC and visualization software
  • Interpreting design input information and producing sorter control system configuration databases
  • Verifying quality of electrical installation on site and troubleshooting errors
  • Liaising with electrical installation supervisors and subcontractors
  • Following test procedures and verifying basic functionality of control software
  • Integrating ASRS control system with external subsystems
  • Providing support to site-wide system commissioning activities
  • Recording software commissioning test results
  • Providing feedback to electrical and software engineering teams
About You:
  • Degree or experience in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Controls Engineering
  • Previous experience in electrical installation process, CAD tools, and PLC programming
  • Passionate about automation, engineering, and technological innovation
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to adapt to various cultural backgrounds
  • Self-motivated, initiative, and seeking continuous self-development
  • Full working proficiency in English
  • Valid driving license
