At DNV, we are a global leader in the energy transformation. Our mission is to optimize the performance of renewable energy installations worldwide.

We are looking for a skilled Cybersecurity Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Cybersecurity Team, you will play a critical role in identifying cybersecurity risks and vulnerabilities within our systems and networks.

The main areas of focus for this role include:

  • Risk Assessment: Identify potential cybersecurity risks and vulnerabilities within our systems and networks.
  • Policy Development: Establish cybersecurity policies and procedures to guide our approach to managing cyber risks.
  • Security Measures: Implement and maintain security measures such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption to protect sensitive data.
  • Monitoring and Detection: Continuously monitor our networks for unusual activity that could indicate a security breach and detect cyber threats.
  • Incident Response: Respond to cybersecurity incidents and breaches, including investigation, containment, eradication, and recovery.
  • Compliance and Auditing: Ensure we comply with relevant cybersecurity laws, regulations, and standards, and conduct regular audits to verify compliance.
  • Training and Awareness: Educate employees about cybersecurity best practices and raise awareness about its importance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Configure and maintain computer networks, including switches, firewalls, routers, and VPNs.
  • Deploy and maintain virtualized servers.
  • Assess the stability, security, and scalability of our current infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot and provide technical support to internal staff or external customers as needed.
  • Create and contribute to technical documentation.
  • Audit systems and networks.
  • Estimate tasks and participate in the design of new projects and challenges.
  • Exposure to and discussion of technology with other IT experts across our organization.

Requirements:

  • A Master's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 5 years of experience in IT systems management, including hands-on experience with hardware and software troubleshooting, network administration, and system security.
  • Proven experience with HyperV and VmWare ESXi.
  • Comprehensive understanding of network services, networks, and redundancy protocols.
  • Ability to analyze and evaluate networks, identify issues, and provide solutions to ensure networks are operating efficiently.
  • Ability to deploy and maintain Windows Server and Linux OS.
  • Ability to create scripts to automate actions using PowerShell, bash scripting, or Python.
  • Skills: Proficiency in managing and supporting IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and databases. Strong problem-solving skills, the ability to work under pressure, and excellent communication.

Preferred Skills:

  • Certifications: Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), Microsoft (AZ-800, AZ-801), LPIC2 certification, or CCNP.
  • Experience with VPN IPSEC or GRE Tunnels.
  • Experience with real HA environments.
  • Experience with observability stack frameworks.
  • Experience with k8s environments.
  • Experience with IDS and SIEM systems.
