Director of Risk Analysis

This is a challenging opportunity to join a leading global company, S&P Global, as an Associate Director, Analytic Risk Officer. The role is part of the Analytic Risk & Quality (ARQ) team, which provides independent risk-based assessments of analytic products and fosters analytical excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Validate and monitor the appropriateness of S&P Global's analytic products and related processes.
- Evaluate new and revised methodologies and models to ensure they are fit for purpose.
- Assess the defensibility of analyses performed, including the application of analytic judgment.
- Manage relationships with first-line leaders and serve as an ambassador of ARQ's views and messages to various stakeholders.
- Lead and contribute to the development and maintenance of various analytic platforms and visualizations.
- Ensure the ongoing development and maintenance of metrics for S&P Global's analytic portfolio.
- Facilitate emerging risk identification and the development of remedies.
- Provide analytical insights and collaborate with first-line teams on holistic risk mitigation.
- Design and perform issue-specific tests related to various aspects of the analytical process.
- Prepare risk-based reports and materials, focusing on key systemic analytically relevant risks and trends.
- Passion for ESG and related topics.
- BA or BS in Business, Finance, or related field. Graduate degree preferred.
- 4+ years in capital markets analysis.
- Demonstrated track record of critical thinking and problem-solving.
- Able to demonstrate independence and objectivity.
- Proficiency with Excel, SQL, VBA, R, Python preferred.
- Detail-oriented and able to solicit high-quality work in a collaborative environment.
