Job Summary
">We are seeking a seasoned Commercial Property Underwriter to join our team in regional European markets. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in underwriting and a proven track record of developing profitable portfolios.
">Key Responsibilities
">- Develop and underwrite a profitable Commercial Property portfolio as part of the Property Risks team.
- Structure tailored solutions considering underwriting parameters and policies to win new business and retain existing clients.
- Monitor premiums, costs, and claims ratios, taking corrective actions to ensure long-term profitability.
- Evaluate appropriate risk premiums based on risk costs, reinsurance cessions, capital exposure, and administrative costs, utilizing rating models as needed.
- Oversee peer underwriters to ensure profitability and efficient account administration.
- Supervise assistants' daily work to ensure compliance with underwriting policies and consistency within the team.
- Adhere to underwriting control standards across all business written through Lloyd's, subsidiaries, or MGAs.
- Develop and maintain good relationships with claims managers.
Client Management
">- Advise and service clients on insurance and risk management to ensure satisfaction.
- Foster positive relationships to understand client needs.
Business Relationships
">- Maintain good relationships with brokers.
- Stay informed about product range and identify opportunities to cross-sell.
