Role Overview

We are seeking a talented PR and Social Media Manager to lead our PR, social media, and content creation efforts. This is an incredible opportunity to join a rapidly scaling business at an exciting period in our journey.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead our PR, social media, and content creation efforts, working closely with our external PR agency.
  2. Develop and execute strategies that enhance the Defaqto brand presence.
  3. Collaborate with the external PR agency to develop and execute a full calendar of PR strategies and activities that align with our business goals.
  4. Manage the external PR agency, including reviewing and refining PR materials.
  5. Monitor and report on coverage, providing guidance to the agency around key messaging, internal initiatives, and communication opportunities.
  6. Assist the CMO in managing potential PR crises, coordinating with the PR agency to craft appropriate responses.
  7. Develop and implement social media strategies aligned with PR campaigns, brand, and product initiatives.
  8. Lead the hands-on content production process, working closely with our internal Insights team and in-house graphic designer to create high-quality visual and written content.
  9. Maintain a content calendar to ensure timely delivery of all assets and that all content aligns with our brand guidelines.

Requirements

  • Excellent external agency management experience.
  • Proficiency in social media platforms, CMS, and analytical tools.
  • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
  • Planning and project management skills.
  • A positive, entrepreneurial approach.

Benefits

  • Office base in London EC1 or Haddenham (London Marylebone to Oxford line) on a hybrid basis.
  • 2-3 days in the office per week.
