Project Sales Engineer

As a key member of the Emerson team, you will play a crucial role in driving sales growth and customer satisfaction in the automation projects space.
As a Sales Engineer for Automation Projects, you will be responsible for identifying and qualifying strategic project opportunities, developing project pursuit strategies, and collaborating with subject matter experts and industry leaders to align Emerson's offerings with customer needs.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Actively promoting and selling business, including products, solutions, and services or projects of responsibility.
- Identifying and qualifying strategic project opportunities in all project phases, including the pre-FEED phase.
- Developing project pursuit strategies and teams to maximize chances of success.
- Developing and maintaining a high level of knowledge about technologies and products.
- Participating in customer development activities for early positioning, such as presentations, trade shows, fairs, and conferences.
- Proactively collaborating and sharing relevant information with colleagues and other related teams.
- Qualifying other products and solutions where Emerson is not considered to maximize the scope.
For this role, you will need:
- A STEM degree or comparable technical education.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience working with automation projects.
- Extensive sales experience in the technical industry.
- English and Spanish language proficiency (written/read/spoken).
- Availability to travel locally.
Preferred qualifications that set you apart include:
