The Purchasing Category Manager will assist the Category Manager in building category strategies and implementing productivity projects while maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure alignment with business objectives. This role will focus on providing value through improved spend management and cost optimization by leveraging data insights and tools, as well as optimizing the use of information by developing, modifying, and administering databases to ensure the efficient storage and retrieval of critical data.
Your major accountabilities include:
- Collaborate with the Category Manager to manage assigned purchasing categories, ensuring stakeholders' needs are met by negotiating and securing optimal conditions with suppliers in terms of price, quality, and service.
- Support the achievement of the annual objectives of the Purchasing Department, focusing on cost reduction, specification improvement, innovation, and efficiency.
