Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Energy Market Strategist to join our team at Avature. As a key member of our power trading team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing short-term power strategies to maximize value in European markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain optimal short-term power strategies for TotalEnergies Gas and Power in European markets
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and execute market strategies
- Run and maintain pricing and arbitrage models using market data
- Continuously back-test strategies to ensure adequacy and optimality
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and profit and loss (P&L) resulting from market activities
- Perform impact analysis on market design and regulatory evolutions to identify opportunities
- Conduct studies to define optimal strategies on a global EU portfolio level
Requirements
- Engineering background or PhD in fields such as Mathematics, Physics, Machine Learning, or Computer Science
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and project management skills
- Proficiency in Excel VBA, Python, CSS, and HTML
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
