Senior Engineering Manager

We are a leading international development partner and systems supplier to the automotive industry, shaping the future of mobility together. As Head of Engineering, you will be responsible for leading the engineering departments in our production plant to ensure compliance with project requirements, such as time, quality, safety, budget, and customer satisfaction.
This role reports directly to the Plant Manager and operates at a local level, requiring strong leadership and management skills. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Initiating and managing multiple projects, ensuring they meet defined targets and are completed on time.
- Budget management and alignment to MAHLE and market best practices.
- Ensuring the efficient use of resources, including human, machine, and material.
- Benchmarking processes with other plants and implementing process standardization across manufacturing centers.
You will also be responsible for auditing production lines according to standards and making improvements, allocating necessary resources to projects where needed, and developing solutions-oriented approaches to capacity management.
To succeed in this role, you will require:
- A relevant engineering degree, such as Automation, Electronics, or Industrial Organization.
- Full professional English and Spanish competence.
- More than 5 years' experience in the automotive sector in engineering positions.
- More than 3 years' experience in managing teams.
- Experience in Industry 4.0 and IoT, as well as advanced experience in industrialization project management roles.
Maintenance of HSE practices, lean manufacturing concepts, problem-solving skills, and solution-oriented thinking are essential for this position. Additionally, you should have strong analytical and negotiation skills, good listening and communication abilities, trust-building capabilities, and the ability to think critically and manage conflicts.
