Nordex Group is seeking a highly skilled Material Manager to join our team. As a Material Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely and cost-effective procurement of materials for our wind turbine construction sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the central contact for materials needed on wind turbine construction sites
- Create and track project-relevant material orders in SAP
- Monitor and manage on-time delivery, actively addressing potential bottlenecks and delays
- Interface with installations and service departments to ensure seamless material flow
- Support local material identification of spare parts
- Analyze and optimize PM inventories, considering exchange groups, variants, and historical consumption
- Collaborate with adjacent departments (e.g., Service Spare Parts Management, Production, Site Management) on operational and process-related issues
- Create project-specific material management plans
- Participate in material-relevant coordination meetings
- Continuously improve processes and data management
- Perform additional tasks and projects related to material management
Requirements:
- Completed studies in industrial engineering, logistics, mechanical engineering, business administration, or a related field
- Several years of relevant professional experience in procurement or material management
- Excellent knowledge of SAP MM and MS Office
- Very good written and spoken English; other languages an advantage
- Independent, structured, and goal-oriented work style, paired with a binding and appreciative behavior
