Job Title: Customs Clearance Specialist
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Customs Clearance Specialist to join our team at UPS. As a key member of our global logistics team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth clearance of customs procedures for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare customs clearance documents in TARIC (import, export, and transit) and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Request and review necessary documentation from customs and other authorities.
- Coordinate and attend inspections with customs and other departments.
- Manage and control billing for customs concepts and services.
- Advise clients on customs matters, including import and export regulations.
Requirements:
- Baccalaureate or higher level training cycle in a relevant field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in customs, preferably in a freight forwarder or customs agency.
- Medium to high level of English proficiency.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of office automation and experience with TARIC and Cargowise CW1.
