About the Role: We are looking for a skilled Transportation Operations Specialist to join our team at Sims Lifecycle Services. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for organizing and planning the incoming and outgoing flow of goods, ensuring smooth operations and maintaining close contact with the Site Manager and supervisors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Organize and plan the logistics process, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods.
- Control the flow of goods, taking care of all administrative activities including packing slips, waybills, pallet labels, and other necessary documentation.
- Manage the correct registration of matters in the system used, ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, and company regulations in the field of quality, safety, and the environment.
- Regularly interact with customers, suppliers, and carriers about deliveries and their changes and inaccuracies.
- Ensure the correct mode of transport and work closely with the warehouse team to ensure smooth loading and unloading of goods.
Requirements:
- Several years of experience in a similar business, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- MBO4 + working and thinking level.
- Stress resistant, takes initiative, and customer-oriented.
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively.
- Exceptional organizational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; English is a must.
- Ability to work within a fast-paced office environment and cope with change and pressure.
- Team player with the ability to work on own initiative.
What We Offer:
- Salary of €36,288 - €41,472 gross a year, including 8% holiday allowance.
- 26 PTO days a year, based on full-time work.
