As a Flame-Cooked Chef Specialist at El Pollo Loco, you'll be the mastermind behind our signature grilled and hot food items, following precise company standards to deliver exceptional quality and presentation.
Your Role:
We're seeking a skilled and enthusiastic team member to join our kitchen crew. As a Flame-Cooked Chef Specialist, your key responsibilities will include preparing, marinating, seasoning, cooking, stocking, and rotating chicken and other grilled proteins according to our high standards. You'll also receive orders, cut cooked chicken, and arrange proteins for proper presentation on the plate or in applicable packaging.

Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- One or more years of previous restaurant cooking experience (preferred but not required)
- A Food Handler Certification promptly upon hire, adhering to EPL policy and state regulations
- A willingness to participate in cross-training opportunities to develop skills in other areas of the restaurant as needed
- An enthusiastic and positive demeanor, with a genuine passion for providing exceptional customer service
- Strong communication, attention to detail, and organizational skills
- The ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Demonstrated reliability and punctuality, with a commitment to meeting scheduled work shifts and assignments
- A willingness to learn and adapt to changing procedures and protocols
