Job Summary

Payload Aerospace, S.L is seeking a highly skilled Senior CAD/CAM Programmer to join our team. As a key member of our manufacturing department, you will be responsible for programming and supervising the production of various machining operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Determine the optimal machining strategy to manufacture each component, ensuring efficient production and high-quality results.
  • Program CNC machines using Siemens NX and Hypermill software, working closely with the engineering team to provide crucial design input to manufacturing.
  • Supervise the correct transfer of programs to manufacturing at the machine level, ensuring seamless production.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to design and develop new machining strategies and techniques.
  • Provide support in the creation of work instructions for use in the workshop, specifying the most appropriate sequence and tools.
  • Choose the most suitable tools and calculate working conditions to ensure efficient and safe production.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering, manufacturing engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 7 years of experience programming CNC machines at the machine level.
  • 7 years of experience with different types of machines, including lathe, 3-5 axis machining center, multifunction, etc.
  • 5 years of experience programming CNC equipment with CAD/CAM software.
  • Extensive knowledge of machining tools and techniques.
  • Experience with different types of metals, including aluminum, stainless steel, copper, titanium, and alloys with high nickel content.
  • Knowledge of G and M code programming.
  • Extensive knowledge of dimensional and geometric tolerances.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Spoken and written English.

Desired Competencies

  • Predisposition to work at the machine level.
  • Previous experience in the aeronautical sector.
  • Experience with Siemens NX, HyperMill, and TeamCenter.
  • Knowledge in metrology.
  • Experience with controls, including Fanuc, Heidenhain, and Okuma.
