About the Job

We are looking for a Help Desk Technician to join our team at ELCA Information Technology Ltd. The successful candidate will have excellent technical skills, strong communication abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.

Job Summary

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires the ability to troubleshoot system and network problems, install and configure computers, operating systems, and applications, and provide technical assistance to internal customers.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the first point of contact for internal customers seeking technical assistance with the ticketing system.
  • Perform remote and onsite troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions.
  • Determine the best solution based on the issue and details provided by customers.
  • Install and configure computers, operating systems, and applications.
  • Replace parts as required.
  • Support the roll-out of new IT devices and applications, ensuring the protection of computer facilities.
  • Direct unresolved issues to the next level of support personnel.
Requirements
  • At least 3 years' experience in IT services.
  • Good communication skills and advanced level of spoken and written English.
  • Have an IT certificate or other equivalent diploma.
  • Basic User & Group Active Directory and cloud knowledge.
  • Knowledge of desktop operating systems: Linux, Windows desktop, and Mac OS, and database (i.e. SQL, Oracle).
  • Good problem-solving and evaluative skills.
  • Self-study on new technology and willingness to improve on technical skills.
  • An ability to adapt to different demands.
  • A high working discipline.
  • Literacy in monitoring, operating systems, networking, and database technologies (e.g. Linux, VMWare, Docker, Ansible).
  • Advocate of a client-oriented mindset.
