Job Summary:

A Powerplant Engineer is required to work in the design, development, and implementation activities of the power plant for a major aircraft project. The successful candidate will integrate into a multidisciplinary team supporting the development of a turbo-propeller aircraft.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Integrate the engine, propeller, and rest of the systems into the Powerplant and within the aircraft, ensuring seamless interaction and optimal performance.
  • Ensure that the powerplant integration meets all aircraft requirements, including technical specifications, certification, qualification, and safety standards.
  • Support the definition of the means of substantiation for powerplant integration, including analysis, testing, safety analyses, drawings, inspections, and other necessary tasks.
  • Coordinate with the powerplant group and other aircraft disciplines to rationalize the integration of the Powerplant into the aircraft.
  • Propose, discuss, and agree on the physical and functional interfaces of the Powerplant internally and with the rest of the aircraft.
  • Ensure proper development and documentation of integration activities, including the analysis of powerplant development, certification, and qualification tests.
  • Provide advice on the implications and technical risks associated with the powerplant integration process.
  • Participate in powerplant integration-related technical audits and analyze in-service anomalies, incidents, and accidents related to the Powerplant.
  • Analyze potential customer requests and their impact on the Powerplant, ensuring compliance with requirements and defining necessary modifications.
Requirements:
  • Aeronautical Engineer or equivalent degree (Master or similar)
  • Experience in Powerplant Integration activities, preferably covering at least one aircraft development cycle, preferably in turboprops.
  • Knowledge of integration tools and methodologies for Powerplant integration.
  • English as working language: fluent in writing and conversation.
