Job Title: Application Engineer

Trelleborg Sealing Solutions (TSS) is a world leader in engineered polymer solutions for various industries. We are seeking an experienced Application Engineer to join our Customer Solution Center (CSC) team in Madrid.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will provide engineering support to managed accounts, developing sealing solutions that consider technical and economic aspects. They will be the primary point of contact for customers, building a multilevel network and providing customized solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of sealing technology, customer applications, and market trends.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide engineering support to managed accounts, developing sealing solutions that meet technical and economic requirements.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for customers, building a multilevel network and providing customized solutions.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of customer applications, market trends, and sealing technology.
  • Collaborate with other Business Units to ensure alignment and effective communication.
  • Initiate RFQs, manage technical complaints, and ensure material compliance.
  • Provide market feedback to identify innovation trends and improve the sealing portfolio.
  • Perform product and technical trainings, and support customer visits and fairs.
  • Develop and implement industrialization of design solutions, ensuring quality planning and item creation.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Engineering, Mechanical, Material Technology, or equivalent qualifications.
  • Project Management skills with proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
  • Experience/knowledge in rubber, plastic, polymer industry, or sealing technology is an advantage.
  • Customer-driven with a positive, professional, can-do attitude.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to multitask, attention to detail, and accuracy.
  • Good understanding of IT tools (Office, CRM, ERP, CAD, etc.).
  • Fluent in English and Spanish (verbal and written).
