Postdoctoral Researcher in Ultrafast Nonlinear Optical and X-ray Spectroscopy

About the Position
We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team at the IMDEA Networks Institute in Madrid, Spain. The successful candidate will work in the field of ultrafast nonlinear optical and X-ray spectroscopy on condensed matter systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research in ultrafast dynamics of condensed matter systems using novel few-femtosecond nonlinear optical setups and X-ray Free Electron Lasers.
- Develop and apply X-ray Wave-mixing Spectroscopies (X-WaveS) methodologies at Free Electron Lasers (FELs) and High Harmonic Generation (HHG) table-top sources.
- Collaborate with the research group to advance the understanding of condensed matter systems and develop novel nano-technologies.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Condensed Matter Physics or a related field.
- Previous experience with ultrafast lasers and a solid background in condensed matter physics.
- Prolific knowledge of the English language.
- Highly motivated candidates with a strong publication record and systematic research attitude.
About the Research Group
The X-ray Wave-mixing Spectroscopy group at the IMDEA Networks Institute is focused on the development of Extreme Ultraviolet and X-ray wave-mixing methodologies at FELs and HHG table-top sources and their application to condensed matter systems. Our research aims to advance the understanding of novel nano-technologies employing 2D materials, quantum materials, nano-magnetic systems, semiconductors, and materials for light harvesting and efficient energy storage and conversion.
