About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Localization Producer to join our team at Scopely. As a key member of our localization team, you will be responsible for driving quality and efficiency in localized game updates, acting as a central liaison between development, live operations, and global localization partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pre-Production and Production: Identify and map localization needs, ensuring that our development practices incorporate internationalization and a global mindset.
  • Communication and Stakeholder Management: Clearly communicate project goals to leaders, achieving constant partner alignment across the organization.
  • Localization Management: Manage localization efforts in a multidisciplinary team through all stages of the development lifecycle and live production.
  • Vendor Management: Manage external localization vendors, improve processes, manage expectations, and maintain a close eye on quality output.
  • Process Evaluation and Improvement: Evaluate the overall localization process and quality, drawing lessons learned and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Terminology Management: Maintain a terminology list, handle translators' queries, and maintain an up-to-date translation memory.
  • Relationship Building: Build positive relationships with developers and regional teams.
  • Risk Management: Identify and assess risks, developing strategies to mitigate and escalate as necessary to all relevant partners.
Requirements
  • Experience: Proven experience as a dedicated localization producer or project manager in a gaming studio or a globally shipped entertainment or technical product.
  • Technical Skills: Experience working with JIRA, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and experience planning, managing, and delivering projects as part of wider initiatives.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent time-management skills, ability to work independently, and experience working with multicultural, globally distributed teams on projects and processes.
  • Additional Requirements: Solutions-oriented, committed to fixing issues internally and with vendors, and able to demonstrate best practices in LQA testing and efficiency with a mixed-language team.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Gaming Experience: To be a gamer and passionate about games.
  • Large-Scale Localization Experience: Experience managing localization on a large live operating title across multiple regions.
  • Agile Knowledge: Solid understanding of Agile and its standard practices.
  • Language Skills: Fluent in a language other than English.
