Ryanair, a leading airline company, is seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Technician to join its team. As a key member of the organization, this individual will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of employees and customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and mitigate occupational risks to prevent accidents and injuries in the workplace.
  • Coordinate business activities to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Manage health surveillance programs to monitor employee health and detect potential hazards.
  • Promote a culture of safety by disseminating information on occupational risk prevention and ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Implement the company's occupational risk prevention plan to minimize risks and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Manage training programs to educate employees on health and safety protocols and procedures.
  • Investigate accidents and near-miss incidents to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Manage EPIs (Personal Protective Equipment) to ensure employees have access to necessary safety gear.
  • Collaborate with health and safety inspectors to ensure compliance with regulations and industry standards.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in health and safety legislation and communicate relevant information to the General Manager.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to investigate accidents and near-miss incidents.

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

  • Master's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field.
  • Advanced level of English and Spanish to effectively communicate with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role, preferably in the aviation industry.
