About the Role

At Alstom, we are committed to creating a sustainable and efficient transportation system. As a Project Engineering Manager for Urban Projects, you will play a key role in leading our team to deliver innovative solutions for urban transportation. Your expertise in engineering and project management will be essential in driving our projects forward and ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality, cost, and delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the technical aspects of urban transportation projects, including specifying and validating transport system solutions
• Control technical consistency through strong interfaces management and a QCD (quality, cost, delay) approach
• Manage the technical contractual scope of the project, including customer acceptance of the project solution
• Manage project technical risks and the corresponding mitigation plan
• Collaborate with the Project Manager to raise variation orders and manage them
• Validate technical design choices with peers and Solution Director
• Identify applicable regulations in the customer country/city and ensure they are taken into account in project solution design
• Manage project solution, including customization and parameterization of the generic solution to meet QCDP commitments
• Build and analyze the project requirements database (PRD) and allocate requirements to System Program Manager (SPM), Project Industrialization Manager (PrIDM), and Project Engineering team
• Act as chairman of the Project Change Control Board (CCB)
• Be responsible for project design and application engineering activities
• Supervise Verification & Validation activities
• Be accountable for Engineering WP QCD
• Provide BOM
• PrEM is in charge of the complete validation of the Project Solution
• Functionally lead the project engineering team
• Verify Project Safety Case
• Manage the interface with the project core team

About You

We value passion and attitude over experience. As a Project Engineering Manager for Urban Projects, you will have the opportunity to work on challenging projects and develop your skills and expertise. To be successful in this role, you will need:
• Engineer profile
• 3-5 years previous experience in urban systems
• Previous project management experience preferred
• Previous experience working on cross-functional teams
• Previous rail industry experience preferred
• Knowledge on engineering tasks to be performed
• Fluency in English
• Fluency in French is desirable
