Job Description
The Cardiology Clinical Lead will provide medical support and advice for clinical trials and safety evaluation within the PPD Pharmacovigilance department.
A Day in the Life
Provide medical leadership to study teams, including creating clinical trial protocols while implementing the latest scientific information. Contribute to site selection, review, and approval of study protocols and amendments, Clinical Study Reports (CSRs), Informed Consent Forms (ICFs), Case Report Forms (CRFs), protocol deviation decisions, and other clinical documents required for clinical trials.
Responsibilities
- Provide medical guidance to study teams on clinical trial protocols and procedures
- Collaborate with internal groups to ensure smooth execution of clinical trials
- Serve as chief liaison between sponsors and PPD internal departments performing tasks during all study phases
- Educate investigator sites on laboratory procedures during investigator meetings
- Control and handle day-to-day activities during clinical trials to resolve issues and answer queries
Qualifications
- MD, MB/BS or equivalent degree with strong medical knowledge and clinical experience running cardiology patients in hospital practice
- Board certified in cardiology
- Experience within the pharmaceutical industry, clinical trials, and pharmaceutical medicine
- Fluency in spoken and written English
- Understanding and experience with NDA submission process
- Strong communication and presentation skills
