About the Role

We are seeking a talented Full-stack developer to join our team at Zurich Australian Insurance Ltd. and play a crucial role in addressing the specific needs of genAI in the insurance industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop reusable server-side applications and APIs.
  • Develop and maintain databases and data models for efficient data storage and retrieval.
  • Optimize backend systems for scalability, performance, and reliability.
  • Integrate backend systems with frontend applications.
  • Demonstrate the ability to develop full-stack applications independently.
  • Conduct unit tests, ensure code quality, and maintain developed solutions.
  • Debug operational issues and perform root cause analysis.
  • Stay updated with the latest research and technological developments.
  • Participate in testing, troubleshooting, and debugging activities to ensure the reliability and performance of developed solutions.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of proven experience in backend or full-stack development.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python.
  • Expertise in web development frameworks such as FastAPI.
  • Experience with API management technology such as Mulesoft.
  • Familiarity with cloud computing platforms like AWS, Azure, and container technologies like Docker.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, including version control systems such as Git.
  • Knowledge of microservices architecture and RESTful API development.
  • Excellent analytical problem-solving skills and ability to address specific genAI needs effectively.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
