Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Java Senior Software Engineer to join our Transport team in Barcelona or Porto. As a Java Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for building and evolving our Flights Search/Booking/PostBooking Domain microservices platform, which powers more than 25 billion searches every month.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop high-quality, scalable, and maintainable software components using Java 11 and related technologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize technical requirements and deliver projects with high complexity.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed.
  • Participate in code reviews and architecture reviews to ensure the highest standards of quality and maintainability.
  • Communicate complex technical ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring alignment and understanding.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, applying them to drive innovation and improvement.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience as a senior software engineer, with a strong background in Java and related technologies.
  • Proven track record of delivering complex projects with high-quality results.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Good English language skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders from diverse backgrounds.
