Quality Assurance Specialist

This is a full-time role based out of our office in Barcelona. We can only consider applicants who are able to work 3 days per week from the office.

As a Quality Assurance Specialist at FX Digital, you will report to the QA manager, who will be able to offer guidance and support. You will be responsible for ensuring that the quality of work delivered is of an impeccable standard across the board.

You will be involved throughout the full test life cycle, from test case planning and definition to test execution, defect capture, and reporting. You will enforce and uphold the quality assurance processes throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Involved throughout the full test life cycle (test case planning and definition, test execution, defect capture and reporting)
  • Enforce and uphold the quality assurance processes throughout the project lifecycle
  • Hold yourself and colleagues accountable for the standard of work that is released, ensuring it meets both aesthetic and functional requirements
  • Thorough documentation of test plans and test cases and the maintenance of these
  • Report and prioritise bugs and issues raised in a variety of channels
  • Proactively and clearly communicate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Work with Junior and Senior QAs to contribute towards implementing broader automation coverage across current and future projects
  • Assist with the personal development of more junior members of the QA team
  • Requirement analysis

Requirements:

  • Good understanding of HTML and CSS
  • Some previous experience with, or knowledge of Javascript, or another programming language
  • Knowledge of APIs, testing of them and related tools
  • Excellent time-management and organisational skills
  • Excellent analytical skills and eye for detail
  • Able to effectively communicate, written and verbally, to all levels within the business
  • Experience with version control and workflows and relevant tools
  • Knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle
  • Able to demonstrate great attention to detail, care and accuracy while maintaining the speed of work to meet deadlines
  • Experience with issue tracking tools such as Jira
  • Exceptional understanding of UX qualities
  • Experience using software debugging tools (e.g. web inspector)
