About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled R&D Microbiologist to join our team in Granada. As a key member of our research and development team, you will be responsible for implementing laboratory techniques, pilot plant, and analytical methods required in the field of development of ingredient production processes and/or applications and/or analysis of ingredients, active compounds, or biomarkers from biological samples and/or in vitro assays.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement laboratory techniques, pilot plant, and analytical methods required in the field of development of ingredient production processes and/or applications and/or analysis of ingredients, active compounds, or biomarkers from biological samples and/or in vitro assays.
  • Carry out fermentation processes on a laboratory or pilot scale following technical protocols and/or instructions from the supervisor.
  • Apply laboratory analytical protocols.
  • Responsible for the use, condition, controls, and stipulated maintenance of the equipment used in the development of its activity: order, cleanliness, and good use of measuring devices.
  • Updated inventory and control of raw materials and reagents.
  • Attendance to industrial tests for plant implementation of the processes developed.
  • Report deviations or anomalies detected in the system.
  • Distribution and collection of study material and samples.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Essential FP2 in a scientific field, preferably microbiology.
  • Experience in microbiology and fermentation.
  • Medium level of spoken and written English.
  • Planning and organisation.
  • Proactivity.
  • Communication and dialogue. Interdepartmental relations.
  • Teamwork and autonomy.
  • Detail orientation and concern for continuous improvement.
