Job Opportunity:

Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI) is seeking a Claims Quality Review Specialist to join the Global Claims Quality Assurance team.

This role involves regular communication and collaboration with multiple internal stakeholders. The successful candidate will value building positive relationships while ensuring high claims handling standards.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Review and evaluate closed and open claim files against BHSI Claims Service Standards to ensure company procedures are followed.
  • Choose, assign, and track completion of claim file reviews completed by internal stakeholders.
  • Lead internal claim reviews, including pre-review data analysis, sample selection, claim reviews, and communication to relevant claims management.
  • Conduct trend analysis and prepare specialized analytic reporting for multiple lines of business and regions.
  • Develop continuous improvement recommendations and work with claims management to implement initiatives.
  • Support product development/enhancement and other projects as needed.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • 3-5 years of experience handling claims for a commercial insurance carrier.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a team environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to manage time effectively, set priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be service and risk-management oriented.
  • A self-starter and able to work both autonomously and with a team.
  • Intermediate to expert skills in working with MS Excel.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Power Point.
  • Travel may be required and will vary depending on business needs and caseload.
