We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Design Engineer to join our team at Stolt-Nielsen. As a key member of our project development team, you will be responsible for designing and developing technical facilities necessary for the execution of our projects.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop civil work, including earthworks, foundations, concrete, metallic, and plastic structures, in accordance with project goals, cost, scope, and quality specifications.
- Source and negotiate with external suppliers, select, and purchase equipment, with administrative support from other team members.
- Identify areas for improvement and propose innovative solutions.
- Coordinate on-site monitoring for all tests or trials related to installations.
- Coordinate follow-up and conclusion reports for trials and tests.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- 3-5 years of experience in civil design, with a strong calculation and design component.
- Experience in project management and in-field experience.
- A university degree in Civil Engineering, Engineering, or Industrial Engineering, specializing in mechanics.
- Advanced level of English (C1 or more).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Presto, and design tools with BIM MEP methodology (Autodesk Revit MEP, CypeCAD MEP).
- Excel proficiency expert user.
As a Civil Design Engineer at Stolt-Nielsen, you will have the opportunity to work on challenging projects, develop your skills, and contribute to the growth and success of our company. You will also have the chance to work in a multidisciplinary team and have an analytical and critical mindset.
This role requires around 15-30% of the time traveling to other facilities in the Stolt Sea Farm group outside the central offices of Santiago de Compostela, and also to have meetings with partners and suppliers.
