Lead Cryptographic Security Specialist and Classified Information Manager

At Airbus Defence and Space, we are seeking a highly skilled professional to fill the role of Lead Cryptographic Security Specialist and Classified Information Manager in our Getafe (Madrid) location.
The estimated salary for this position is €60,000 - €80,000 per year, based on industry standards and comparable roles in the region.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented individual with expertise in cryptographic security and classified information management. As a Lead Cryptographic Security Specialist and Classified Information Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the secure storage, handling, and disposal of sensitive cryptographic materials and classified information.
- Cryptographic Security Responsibilities:
- Manage the inventory of cryptographic materials in the COMSEC account.
- Ensure that cryptographic materials are issued only to authorized personnel who have undergone proper clearance and authorization procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of cryptographic materials, including their location and disposition.
- Conduct regular physical inventory checks and prepare reports as required.
- Inspect cryptographic material packaging upon arrival and verify shipment contents and documentation.
- Work with users to ensure ongoing requirements for specific key materials.
- Issue or transfer cryptographic materials as directed to authorized COMSEC accounts or individual users.
- Maintain awareness of the location of all cryptographic materials held by the account and their general purpose.
- Ensure proper preparation and shipping of cryptographic materials.
- Transfer the COMSEC account properly before departing an assignment.
- Classified Information Management Responsibilities:
- Receive, control, register, custody, reproduce, distribute, and sometimes destroy all NATO/National information received from third parties or generated by Airbus Defence and Space.
- Serve as the point of contact for the Ministry of Defence and other classified registries from various companies, suppliers, and clients.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Advanced level proficiency in Spanish and English, both verbally and in writing.
- Advanced knowledge and experience with avionics materials (radios, MIDS).
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
- Proven capacity for synthesis, executive summary writing, and reporting to senior levels within the organization.
- Proven ability to work across networks and direct teams, demonstrating empathy, active listening, and diplomacy.
- Flexibility to adapt to different schedules.
- Experience working with international organizations.
- Knowledge about Airbus products, culture, and processes.
