The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software Engineering Manager to join our Instrument Development Chapter in Sant Cugat. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in leading a talented software team to develop cutting-edge instrument software assets that will revolutionize the field of diagnostics.

Your Challenges

  • Leading, mentoring, and inspiring a software team to achieve project goals and deliver high-quality software solutions.
  • Coaching and guiding team members through their career development.
  • Defining and evaluating employee objectives and performance review processes.
  • Ensuring adherence to software development best practices, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensuring agile delivery processes are followed and measured.
  • Working closely with Product Management and other stakeholders to ensure excellent software solutions.
  • Navigating complex corporate environments and influencing stakeholders and partners.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a software team lead or manager, preferably in the medical device or diagnostics industry.
  • Strong expertise in software development applying Agile methodologies (ideally SAFe framework).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective communication in English and Spanish (optional).
  • Good coaching skills.
  • Experience managing external partners.
