Pediatric Critical Care Nurses Wanted

We are seeking highly skilled and experienced Pediatric Critical Care Nurses to join our team at European Nurse Recruitment. In this role, you will be responsible for providing advanced medical care during transportation via air (helicopters and airplanes), ensuring the safety and wellbeing of critically ill pediatric patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • In-flight Patient Care: Deliver high-quality, critical nursing care to pediatric patients during air medical transfers.
  • Medical Monitoring: Continuously monitor and assess the patient's condition using advanced medical equipment, responding swiftly to any changes or emergencies.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other healthcare professionals such as doctors, paramedics, and ground crew to ensure smooth patient transfers and optimal care during transport.
  • Pre and Post-Transfer Preparation: Assist with the stabilization of patients prior to transfer, and ensure comprehensive care upon arrival at the destination medical facility.
  • Documentation: Maintain thorough medical records, including patient progress and condition during the flight, for handover to receiving medical staff.
  • Equipment Management: Ensure that all medical equipment used during the transfer is properly functioning, adequately stocked, and in compliance with safety standards.

Requirements:

4-year bachelor of science in nursing (BSN) Specialization in Pediatric Nursing with at least 3 years of experience. Experience in Air Medical Transport or Emergency Medical Services (EMS) is highly preferred. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications are required.
