Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Research Catalyst Developer to join our research team focusing on the development of catalysts using earth-abundant elements for CO2 reduction reactions (CO2RR). The successful candidate will be responsible for developing membrane electrode assemblies optimized for CO2RR and assisting in the design of electrochemical cells.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop membrane electrode assemblies optimized for CO2RR
  • Assist in the design of electrochemical cells
  • Collaborate with fellow scientists to analyze results, write detailed reports, and maintain laboratory equipment
  • Write scientific articles and research proposals
  • Document research findings comprehensively
  • Participate in group meetings and contribute to special projects

Requirements

  • Masters degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering
  • Strong background in electrocatalytic reactions and catalysts
  • Knowledge of electrochemical methods for electrocatalyst characterization (RDE, half-cell, cyclic voltammetry, etc.)
  • Knowledge on photocatalysis
  • Good knowledge of scientific English
  • Knowledge on common laboratory techniques and analytic tools
  • Experience on photoelectrochemistry (a plus)
  • Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
  • Strong motivation for the project and willingness to engage in interdisciplinary research
  • Proficient in English (written and spoken)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative to drive the project forward

What We Offer

  • Full-time employment contract linked to the PDC I00 project
  • Remuneration according to the Institute salary scales
  • Annual salary split into twelve monthly payments
