Job Summary
We're seeking a highly skilled Supply Chain Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you'll be responsible for strategic purchasing, overseeing and optimizing the entire supply chain process, and controlling inventory. You'll also be in charge of the warehouse and transportation routes, ensuring efficient, cost-effective, and timely delivery of goods and services.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Purchasing
- Develop and implement purchasing strategies and policies aligned with Bold Valuable Tech's goals.
- Identify opportunities for improvement in the supply chain to reduce costs, improve payment terms, increase efficiency, and enhance quality.
- Select, evaluate, and manage relationships with suppliers and vendors.
- Negotiate contracts, prices, terms, and conditions with suppliers.
- Monitor supplier performance to ensure compliance with quality standards and delivery schedules.
- Logistics and Distribution
- Oversee the transportation, warehousing, and distribution of goods.
- Optimize logistics operations to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Manage inventory levels to balance supply and demand.
- Demand Forecasting
- Analyze market trends, sales data, and customer demand to forecast future needs.
- Work closely with sales and production teams to align supply with demand.
- Process Improvement
- Continuously evaluate and improve supply chain processes.
- Implement technology solutions, such as ERP systems, to enhance supply chain operations.
- Compliance and Sustainability
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Promote sustainable practices within the supply chain, such as reducing carbon footprint or adopting ethical sourcing.
- Collaboration and Communication
- Work closely with other departments to ensure alignment and effective communication.
- Maintain strong communication channels with suppliers, customers, and logistics partners.
- Team Leadership and Development
- Lead and mentor Supply Chain professionals, including buyers, planners, logistics, and warehouse staff.
Requirements
- University education in Industrial, Chemical Engineering, Supply Chain, or equivalent professional work experience.
- At least 10 years of experience in a similar role or in Purchasing in an industrial company.
- Experience in operating MRP/ERP Systems. Knowledge in ERP Odoo is a plus.
