Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Expert to join our Finance department in Madrid, Spain. As a Tax Expert, you will play a critical role in ensuring the company's tax compliance and advising on tax matters related to our investments in the Spanish area.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Coordinating and Improving Tax Compliance: Coordinate and improve the tax compliance system, including direct and indirect taxes, local taxes, in coordination with the local Finance Manager.
  2. Advising on Tax Matters: Advise on day-to-day questions on local tax matters involved in the investments carried out by the Group in the Spanish area.
  3. Monitoring Tax Legislation: Monitor local tax legislation and advise on general tax matters in line with the Group tax policy and procedures.
  4. Linking with Business Structure: Create a link with the business structure to detect potential tax impacts to be analyzed.
  5. Supporting HQ Projects: Support the HQ in specific projects, such as reorganizational or optimization projects, and Group reporting procedures on international tax matters.
  6. Supporting M&A Process: Support the M&A process in coordination with local Finance Manager and HQ.
  7. Supporting Tax Audit Activities: Support tax audit activities in coordination with external advisors, local Finance Manager, and HQ.

Requirements:

  1. Education: Bachelor or master's degree in economics or Law.
  2. Experience: Ideally a previous work experience in a Tax department of an Accounting Firm or Law Firm (preferred) or similar in-house experience.
  3. Language Skills: Fluent in English and Spanish; French is a plus.

Contract Type: Permanent

Location: Madrid, Spain. Hybrid working (2 days WFH / 3 days office)
