Job Title: Cyber Security Specialist

The purpose of this job is to cover a vacancy in the Information Security Department, in the Cybersecurity team, to respond to and mitigate new threats with advanced knowledge of techniques and tactics used by attackers. It is necessary to have a deep understanding of detection and prevention technologies in cybersecurity.

The main areas of action of the Digital Security (CTSO) department are prevention in cybersecurity, technological protection, detection and response to cybersecurity incidents, applied security analytics for prediction and prevention of cyberattacks, and prevention of technological fraud, as well as security governance.

The job is located in the CaixaBank headquarters in Barcelona. The ideal candidate should be able to define detection and protection processes for cybersecurity threats, as well as manage the CyberSOC and implement new detection and prevention workflows. It is required to have knowledge of security in databases, networks, web applications, and Cloud.

The candidate should be able to analyze new threats and define new use cases for their detection and prevention. It is also required to have knowledge of security solutions to define the necessary controls to cover new threat use cases. The candidate should have the ability to respond to cybersecurity incidents.

Requirements:

  • Tech degree or higher in computer science or telecommunications.
  • Experience as a CyberSOC manager.
  • Knowledge and experience in security protection solutions.
  • Experience in database protection.
  • Ability to work in transversal teams.
  • Communication and relational skills.
  • Analytical and synthesis skills with a strategic vision.
  • Adaptability.
  • Availability for travel.
  • English spoken and written.
  • Skills in protection processes.
  • Knowledge of forensic analysis.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity techniques and tactics.
  • Knowledge of detection and prevention techniques for new threats.
  • Agile methodologies.
  • Network protocols.
  • Cloud environments.
  • Security tools.
  • Good practices and security standards.
  • Security-related training and certifications.

The successful candidate will establish, apply, and control security policies to predict, identify, and mitigate emerging security risks in the organization, including operational security and fraud, which derive from banking activity, as well as cybersecurity, which derives from internet risks.
