Senior Safety System Engineer for Powertrain Development

We are seeking an experienced Senior Safety System Engineer to join our team at Bertrandt. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing safety processes to ensure high-confidence risk management during system development.
Responsibilities- Apply and manage the Safety process to identify and control risks in powertrain systems
- Ensure a high level of risk management during software functions development
- Provide official safety opinions at project milestones, which must be integrated into engagement quality plans
- Develop control systems and functional design and validation of embedded systems
- Bachelor's degree in Electronic/Industrial Engineering or similar field
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in automotive engineering, particularly in engine systems safety
- Experience with ETAS modules and INCA tools
- Knowledge of powertrain standards, diagnostics tools, and functional safety
- Understanding of automotive embedded SW methods and architectures, including AUTOSAR, MBSE, CAN/LIN protocols
- Good written and spoken English, with French also valuable
- Highly skilled in analysis, problem-solving, communication, and management
