Our TeamOur unit GDD/CD OT Connectivity is responsible for ensuring reliable and secure development and implementation of services at the interface between IT and OT. We provide wireless network solutions to enable the digitalization of BASF production sites and plants.
Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Senior Wireless Architect to join our global product team. As a key member of our team, you will provide technology leadership for the development of wireless industrial networks and end-to-end solutions for production, technical services, and logistics. You will collaborate closely with BASF technical experts to develop our wireless service portfolio.
Responsibilities- Provide technology leadership for the development of complex end-to-end wireless technology solutions involving devices, access, distribution, and core networks.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and objectives related to wireless network architecture.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of existing IT/OT network infrastructure as input for the network design and planning process.
- Assess new network requirements technically and operationally and develop end-to-end solutions and detailed architecture designs to support them.
- Create project-specific network diagrams, documentation, and implementation plans outlining proposed architectures, configurations, and conduct testing and validation of network implementations.
- Work with service and operations teams to resolve wireless network issues that could impact BASF production sites and plants.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging network technologies, test and validate new solutions, and drive new innovative approaches.
