Grupo Mimara is seeking a Gerontologist/Carer to join our team at one of our residences in Calafell, Tarragona. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care to our residents, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to receive and welcome new residents, adapting their individualized care plans.
- Implement programmed interventions to cover daily life activities, as directed by the interdisciplinary team.
- Participate in the planning, organization, and execution of preventive, occupational, and leisure activities.
- Maintain the personal hygiene of residents.
- Perform cleaning tasks, including the pharmacy and its contents, as well as other sanitary or assistive materials.
- Provide and administer food to residents, facilitating ingestion when necessary.
- Perform postural changes and auxiliary services assigned according to their technical preparation.
- Collaborate with residents in preparation for transfers, providing accompaniment, vigilance, and support.
- Collaborate with healthcare staff in medication administration.
- Collaborate under the supervision of the nurse in the care of residents with colostomies and catheters, as well as in the administration of food through a syringe.
- Support and stimulate resident communication, promoting daily development and social relationships.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team in integrating family members of residents into the life of the center.
- Communicate any health-related incidents that occur. Observe and record in the incident book any changes in behavior or physical condition detected.
Requirements:
Applicants must hold the required qualification or habilitation and/or relevant experience, as regulated by current legislation.
Working Conditions:
Full-time position. Salary: €1,134.00 per month. Schedule: Rotating shift. Compensation: Sunday and holiday pay. Work location: On-site employment.
