Senior Backend Software Engineer with Java and Spring Boot Expertise

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Backend Developer with a strong background in Java and Spring Boot to join our team at Babel Profiles S.L. as a Senior Backend Software Engineer.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop cloud-based technology solutions as part of a cross-functional team.
  • Create and run services related to marketing and business.
  • Develop microservices from the front end to the database.
  • Guarantee software quality with suitable test coverage.
  • Ensure efficient functioning of software systems.
  • Collaborate with business product owners and software engineers.
  • Teach less experienced team members through pair programming and knowledge-sharing sessions.
  • Work with agile software development approaches like SCRUM, Kanban, and pair programming.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
  • Deep knowledge of Spring Boot and Java.
  • At least four years of experience in developing agile and digital products.
  • Experience with databases like Oracle or Mongo DB.
  • Understanding of React/Kotlin and cloud environments (preferably GCP).
  • Experience with Typescript and React is a plus.
