About the RoleThis is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned cloud expert to leverage their knowledge of database systems, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms to architect scalable and highly available databases.
You will be responsible for developing tools and applications that facilitate efficient database management and orchestration, utilizing technologies such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, and Kubernetes.
Responsibilities- Design and develop a robust database-as-a-service platform using cloud-managed services and containerization technologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of database infrastructure.
- Develop automation scripts and frameworks to streamline database provisioning, backup, scaling, and monitoring processes.
- Leverage Agile methodologies to drive project delivery and continuous improvement.
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- A minimum of 4+ years of experience in designing and implementing large-scale database architectures.
- Strong expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) and managed database services (RDS, Amazon Aurora).
- Proficiency in software development using Go and experience with containerization technologies (Docker).
- Familiarity with infrastructure as code frameworks (Terraform) and DevOps practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively.
If you possess additional skills in:
- MySQL, PostgreSQL, and/or Redis schema design, query optimization, and performance tuning.
- Experience in cloud DBaaS production environments.
- Familiarity with Crossplane or similar tools for controlling cloud-managed services.
