About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Strategic Business Development Leader to join our team at Thermo Fisher Scientific.

Key Responsibilities
  • To lead a team of experts in providing advisory support on comparator sourcing and supply chain, offering timely and accurate information related to projects.
  • Work closely with the commercial team to build positive relationships and ensure overall customer satisfaction.
  • Supervise, communicate, and analyze opportunities wins and loss, identifying and recommending solutions and actions to address client loss scenarios.
  • Champion the sourcing solution/strategy in collaboration with comparator sourcing team and coordinate responses from comparator client service team to customers.
  • Foster clear communication of multi-sites/regions projects and among different business lines to build full value for customers.
  • Support sourcing or logistics for the execution of clients' projects as needed.
  • Mentor and develop a team of customer-facing experts.
  • Manage Program managers' accountability on their accounts/segments to enable regional business growth.
  • Contribute to the recruitment, onboarding, training, and development of employees.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Presentation at trade shows, workshops, and seminars, as well as participation in sales and marketing activities such as customer kickoffs, teleconferences, customer visits, and white papers.
  • Conduct market research and trend analysis reporting for the region on clients' pipelines.
  • Demonstrate and drive the Thermo Fisher values – Integrity, Intensity, Involvement, and Innovation (The Four I's).
What You'll Need to Succeed

This is a senior-level position that requires extensive experience in business development, leadership, and strategic planning. A strong background in comparator sourcing and supply chain management is essential. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in driving business growth and building strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.

The estimated salary for this role is $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
