About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Developer to join our team at ThoughtWorks in Barcelona, Spain. As a Senior Software Developer, you will play a key role in building innovative customer experiences for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop scalable software solutions.
- Propose and implement solutions to address scalability and design challenges.
- Oversee or participate in the software development cycle of a scalable product.
- Implement changes and features as part of a Continuous Evolution process.
- Ensure application and environment health through continuous improvement and optimization.
- Address software issues in a timely manner, diagnose and qualify production incidents, and identify root causes.
- Work on large-scale distributed systems and microservices with external integrations in a fast-paced environment.
- Mentor less-experienced peers through technical knowledge and leadership skills.
- Use continuous delivery practices to deliver high-quality software and value to end customers.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge and understanding of Kotlin.
- Relevant frontend experience and knowledge are considered a plus.
- Exposure to RabbitMQ, Postgres, or GitHub Actions is not mandatory but is considered a plus.
- Ability to write high-quality, well-tested code and comfortable with Object-Oriented programming.
- Functional programming experience is a plus.
- Comfortability with Agile methods, such as Extreme Programming (XP), Scrum, and/or Kanban.
- Working experience with the AWS development and deployment environment.
- Exposure to Terraform/Kubernetes is considered a plus (not mandatory).
