We are seeking a highly skilled Compliance Officer to join our team at M2Consulting in São Paulo, Brazil. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring strict adherence to regulatory and legal standards within the Brazilian gambling sector.

Job Description

This role requires strong expertise in regulatory compliance, risk assessment, and an in-depth knowledge of Brazilian gaming laws. Key responsibilities include:

  • Regulatory Compliance: Develop, implement, and oversee compliance policies and procedures to ensure all Brazilian gambling regulations are met.
  • Assurance: Conduct second-line reviews within the organization to assess policy compliance and report findings to management.
  • Regulatory Relations: Serve as the primary liaison with regulatory authorities, managing inquiries and regulatory inspections.
  • Legal Documentation: Review and maintain customer-facing legal materials, including Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policies.
  • Risk Management: Maintain and oversee the Group's Risk Register, actively assess potential risks, and communicate mitigation measures.
  • Audit Coordination: Organize and manage regular external audits and compliance reviews.
  • Oversight: Supervise the performance of outsourced functions across group companies, ensuring alignment with inter-company agreements.
  • Governance and Advisory: Generate accurate, timely management reports and provide compliance guidance to internal teams as needed.
  • Training: Conduct essential training sessions, such as Data Protection and Compliance, for all employees and directors.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Law, Business, Compliance, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience within the iGaming sector.
  • Advanced certification in compliance (ICA, ACAMS, or similar) is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience working with product and engineering teams to design KYC and financial crime controls.
  • Strong familiarity with our product and enthusiasm for joining a growing team.
  • High attention to detail and ability to deliver precise, high-quality results.
  • Extensive knowledge of Brazil's gambling regulatory landscape.
