WeHunt España is a leading partner in molecular diagnostics, seeking an exceptional Senior Scientist for their Molecular Assay Design and Development team in Barcelona.
This role presents a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge qPCR technologies for the development of in vitro diagnostic (IVD) assays, focusing on infectious diseases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of innovative qPCR assays for diagnostic systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects and meet regulatory requirements.
- Ensure high-quality results by analyzing and interpreting experimental data.
- Prepare technical documentation for IVD development in regulated environments.
- Mentor junior team members to promote best practices in molecular diagnostics.
Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in Molecular Microbiology, Biotechnology, or a related field.
- At least 4 years of experience in molecular diagnostics (IVD or LDT).
- Expertise in qPCR assay design, validation, and troubleshooting.
- Strong background in regulatory compliance and quality systems.
- Excellent English language skills and communication abilities.
Preferred qualifications:
- Digital PCR (dPCR) experience.
- Practical knowledge of microbial culture and primer design.
- Statistical analysis skills.
