About the Role

Santander Asset Management is a global financial institution with a strong presence in Europe and Latin America. We are seeking a highly skilled Data Steward Alternatives to join our team in Madrid.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and manage new data initiatives and related projects, defining high-level business cases and providing requirements.
  • Track and prioritize data projects within the Asset Management Information Domain.
  • Define and validate business definitions to complete data artifacts for key data elements (KDEs) on Asset Management Information Domain.
  • Design and complete Data Workflows, Business Glossary identification, Data Dictionary, Data Traceability, and Defines Controls (data quality rules) and Data Quality KPIs.
  • Complete Root cause analysis to identify inconsistencies about data events.
  • Translate business strategies into actionable business-oriented Data Management strategies for Asset Management Information Domain.
  • Design reportings that deliver actionable data-based insights for business units across the Company.
  • Manage the production and reporting for Data Quality (KPIs essential dashboards).
  • Manage the operating policies and standards for the Chief Data Office Area.
  • Assemble project plans, procedures, teamwork assignments, monitor work effort daily, identify resource needs, perform quality reviews, and escalate functional, quality, and timeline issues appropriately.
  • Enforce and ensure policies, practices, and procedures are understood and followed by direct reports, customers, and stakeholders.
  • Set goals and articulate objectives for team members in alignment with departmental objectives.
