About This Opportunity
Bristol-Myers Squibb is seeking highly motivated and talented individuals to join our Research team based in Seville, Spain. Our Center for Innovation and Translational Research Europe (CITRE) R&D site brings together computational, clinical, and translational research teams to redefine drug development. As a Visiting Scientist, you will be part of an interdisciplinary adventure, blending technology and science to redefine what is possible.
Key Responsibilities
- Integrate drug screening data with RNAseq and scRNAseq data, apply dimensionality reduction, perform differential expression analysis, use clustering and classification methods, and conduct pathway and network analysis to understand biological mechanisms.
- Contribute to building trust between medical professionals and machine learning models by enhancing explainability in geometric deep learning models for cancer research.
- Implement novel self-supervised methodologies for molecular property prediction tasks using geometric deep learning models.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a master or doctoral program in bioinformatics, computational biology, machine learning, or a related field (beyond year one) and eager to apply your knowledge in a practical, real-world setting.
- Fluent in English, and capable of discussing scientific and technical topics.
- Enjoy coding in a high-level programming language such as Python, MATLAB, or R and bringing your ideas to execution.
- Previous experience working with multiple-omics datasets, explainable AI, or unsupervised/supervised machine learning methods is desirable but not strictly required.
