Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Mixed-Methods UX Researcher to join our User Research Team in Barcelona. This hands-on role sits at the heart of our Product Design Lifecycle, focusing on research that shapes user-centered designs.

Main Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with product and business stakeholders to define impactful research topics aligned with strategic goals.
  • Lead quantitative research initiatives to answer complex behavioral questions using advanced methodologies to analyze user attitudes and behaviors.
  • Champion research operations best practices to streamline processes, enhance visibility, and improve stakeholder alignment.
  • Implement AI-driven automation and machine learning techniques to optimize data analysis, synthesis, and reporting.
  • Design and execute end-to-end research projects using various methods, including large-scale surveys, statistical analysis, field studies, and usability testing.
  • Synthesize insights from multiple data sources, qualitative, quantitative, customer support, social media, etc., into actionable recommendations that drive product development.
  • Mentor and support product designers and junior researchers in defining research questions, selecting methodologies, and interpreting findings.
  • Continuously optimize our research toolkit, identifying new tools, methods, and technologies to improve research quality and speed.
  • Advocate for the user voice and foster UX research understanding across all levels of the organization.
  • Adapt and thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing and prioritizing research activities as we grow and scale.

Estimated Salary: €80,000 - €110,000 per year

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with 8 years of relevant experience in data science, user research, applied research, or product research in an ecommerce, digital, mobile, and/or SaaS environment.
  • Alternatively, a Master's degree with 5 years or a PhD with 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Advanced degrees in fields like Experimental Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or similar areas focused on mixed-methods research.

Technical Skillset:

  • Proficiency in Python, R, SQL, STATA, SPSS, or equivalent for data analysis.
  • Solid grounding in statistical methods, e.g., regression analysis, ANOVA, hypothesis testing, etc.
  • Familiarity with survey tools, e.g., Qualtrics, Forsta, and data visualization tools, e.g., Looker Studio, Tableau, etc.
  • Familiarity with managing and analyzing large datasets in cloud storage platforms, like AWS or BigQuery.

UX Research Toolkit:

  • Extensive experience with UX research tools, like Lyssna, OptimalWorkshop, TryMata, Dovetail, Gleanly, and beyond.
  • Bonus: Expertise in eye tracking or biometrics and a passion for understanding the psychology and data behind each research question.

Language Requirements:

Our business language is English, so fluency in reading, writing, and presenting in English is essential. Additional proficiency in Spanish, German, French, or Italian is a plus.
